About the Commission
The Telecommunications Commission of Solomon Islands (TCSI) is an independent expert statutory authority, charged with the economic and technical management of the telecommunications sector in Solomon Islands.
TCSI is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the statutory market driven approach, while also protecting the interests of consumers and encouraging sustainable investment in the sector.
Our functions
The Commission is established under the Telecommunications Act 2009. Its functions include licensing telecommunications operators and radio spectrum users, managing the radio frequency spectrum, monitoring market competition, investigating consumer complaints, and reporting publicly on the performance of the sector.
